For our newest Meet the Team interview, we are happy to introduce Mataikya (Matty) Singh. Matty joined Deetken in 2023 as an Associate. Since then, he has applied his skills in data analysis and data modelling to several client projects in the healthcare and social services sectors, among others.
A recent immigrant to Canada, Matty emigrated from India to pursue a Master of Business Analytics (MBAN) at the UBC Sauder School of Business and fulfill his passion for problem-solving and continuous learning. After completing his master’s degree, Matty was introduced to Deetken through a friend who spoke highly of their experience working at the company:
Prior to joining Deetken, Matty worked for the City of Vancouver as a data analyst on the Finance & Performance Measurement team. He also served as a consulting associate at ZS Associates in India where he worked on demand forecasting and KPI dashboards.
In addition to his MBAN from UBC, Matty holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in India.
We’re thrilled to have Matty on the Deetken team. To learn more about his background, his path to Deetken, and his interests outside of work, read on.

I began my journey in India, completing a dual undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. However, driven by my passion for problem-solving and the promise of continuous learning, I swiftly transitioned into consulting immediately after graduating.
After working in India for about a year, I ventured to Vancouver to pursue a master’s degree in Business Analytics, where I found myself captivated by the city’s charm. Upon completing my graduate studies, I eagerly sought out opportunities in consulting, ultimately finding my fit at Deetken.
2. What brought you to Deetken Insight?
