Deetken Insight is excited to welcome Katie Copeland to the team as an Associate. Katie has a combined degree in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Calgary. While studying, Katie worked as an Accounting Assistant at a small forensic accounting firm, investigating business insurance claims. After graduating, she worked as a Market Analyst at the Canada Energy Regulator, where she researched and represented energy trends for the Canadian public. She is interested in incentive structures, regulatory economics, and using data driven insights to solve problems.
In her spare time, Katie enjoys backpacking, climbing, and cycling around Vancouver. Back in 2016, she hiked over 4,000km from Mexico to Canada on the Pacific Crest Trail.
