Deetken is proud to announce two new team members.
Lucia Echeverria has joined Deetken as our new People & Culture Manager, where she will be responsible for supporting the company’s talent and HR practices and strengthening our workplace culture. Lucia has worked in HR implementing best practices both as a consultant and as an in-house HR manager since 2007. She has focused on compensation and benefits as well as the strategic management of human resources. She has lectured at human resources conferences on topics including compensation, recruitment and selection, labour law, and feedback techniques.
Before joining Deetken Insight, Lucia was a partner at a boutique HR firm where she helped small business and startups implement HR departments to help them reach their goals. She is passionate about supporting teams to achieve common results, developing leadership in organizations, and fostering a positive work environment for success.
Lucia has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and an MBA from the Universidad Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona.
Richard “Dick” MacMillan has joined Deetken as a Senior Consultant, based in Nova Scotia. Dick is a senior IT consultant, program manager and business analyst with over 20 years’ experience at leading firms, including CGI Canada, NTT Data Canada Inc. and NorthBay Solutions. His expertise is in business analysis, stakeholder engagement, navigating complex processes, gathering requirements, and preparing comprehensive reports and recommendations. He also has demonstrated ability to implement ITIL processes to improve service delivery and operational efficiency.
Dick has a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op) from Dalhousie University, ITIL Foundation Certification and Leading Scaled Agile Certification.
Dick lives near the ocean in Musquodoboit Harbour, NS, and loves being outdoors, running, kayaking and fly fishing. He also enjoys spending time with family, live music, dancing, travelling, great food and is not hard to persuade to get up on a karaoke stage.
