- What did you enjoy most about working at Deetken Insight?
This role gave me the autonomy to work independently and created opportunities to collaborate with my team on various client projects across multiple industries and sectors.
- What was something you learned that you were not expecting?
As a student who had just finished their first year of university, I did not expect to have the opportunity to learn about recent economic trends in intergenerational mobility as they relate to childhood outcomes and to be given the chance to prepare a report on this topic for our client.
- How will this experience help shape your future career?
As a Research Intern at Deetken Insight, I gained exposure to the importance of rigorous analysis and professional report writing. In this role, I worked alongside Deetken partners on client projects in various industrial sectors in British Columbia, including forestry, technology, and energy. In this capacity, I completed key project deliverables concerning the current economic trends in intergenerational mobility and analyzed best practices for developing internal IT service desk processes for over 80,000 users. The work was really diverse and has contributed to my success in my academic studies and in my current role as a Private Equity Analyst at Skyline Growth Partners (fall internship).
- How would you describe our company culture?

During my internship, I connected well with the team and was provided with meaningful guidance that I apply in my current role. I was also recognized by Deetken leadership for my contributions to various client projects and was given opportunities to expand both my knowledge base and my technical skills.
