2025 was a busy year at Deetken, full of new faces and a busy work and social calendar.

A highlight from the year, we welcomed Shannon Malovec who joined Deetken as a Partner in October. Shannon is an accomplished digital health executive with more than two decades of experience leading large-scale healthcare transformations and digital health initiatives in both the public and private sectors, including at BC’s Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) and TELUS Health. Among her career accomplishments, Shannon led the development of the BC Digital Health Strategy (published in 2023) and guided the province through significant cybersecurity incidents including the Crowdstrike outage. She also co-led BC’s digital response to the COVID-19 pandemic, implementing innovative technologies such as automated results notification, virtual health, case and contact tracing, and the BC vaccination program.

Events Attended

Deetken team members participated in several events in 2025. Notably, Deetken sponsored and Partners André Powell and Shannon Malovec spoke at Bamberg Summit’s Canada Healthcare Innovation Summit on Nov. 19 in Montreal. It was our first time participating in the event which brought together healthcare leaders, policymakers and innovators from across the country to discuss the future of care.

We also exhibited at the e-Health Conference & Tradeshow in Toronto in June, showcasing our expertise in healthcare consulting. It was our second consecutive year participating at e-Health, which has become a highlight on our events calendar.

Other events we attended in 2025 included:

Volunteerism / Charitable Contributions

We continued to give back in meaningful ways in 2025, upholding Deetken’s commitment to making a positive, lasting impact in the communities where we live, work and play.

We’re also proud to say we raised a record $2,500 for Atira Women’s Resource Society on #GivingTuesday. 2025 was our 7th year supporting Atira, which provides housing, counselling and other essential services to women, children and gender-diverse individuals that are the victims of violence. We are honoured to support an organization that is building stronger, safer and more equitable communities for our most vulnerable citizens.

As we prepare for 2026, we look forward to an even busier year ahead.
