In 2003, an economist and an engineer – both with backgrounds in management consulting – started a small company focused on one core goal: to leverage economic rigour to help clients make well-informed decisions. A few years later, the group expanded to include team members with business advisory, financial analysis and strategy consulting expertise. From this, The Deetken Group was born.
While The Deetken Group’s primary focus was on management consulting, team members were driven by a passion to make a difference in the developing world. Leveraging previous relationships, we started investing in Latin American businesses that provided essential goods and services to unbanked and under-served segments of the population – now known as impact investments. Overtime, we established a strong network of partners in the region and a solid 10- year investment track record. This was the genesis for Deetken Impact, a registered investment fund manager delivering strong, stable returns to investors by supporting businesses that make a meaningful contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals. Together with its affiliate, Deetken Impact Sustainable Energy, Deetken Impact currently manages $100 million in impact assets.
The management consulting division of The Deetken Group has also undergone its own evolution. We have grown to a team of 16 experts with more expected to join this year. We have broadened our core management consulting expertise and built a data science team. While we have continually re-branded ourselves over the years, we are now making it official. We are excited to introduce Deetken Insight, the management consulting division of The Deetken Group. We chose to add Insight to our name because we feel we use a unique blend of creativity, analytics and intuition to meet our clients’ needs. Our new logo draws inspiration from our origins while launching us into a new decade of success.
